In order to further strengthen the security of your on-line banking
with First General Bank, in the following weeks, First General Bank
is proud to deliver “Multi-Factor Authentication” (MFA) which
provides an additional layer of login security to protect you from
online fraud and identity theft. This two-way security feature will
identify you as an authorized user by recognizing not only your
password but also your computer. If the system does not recognize
your computer, you will be asked three security questions that only
you know the answers as an additional line of defense to prevent
unauthorized access. Additionally, when you access to the Bank’s
website for on-line banking, a secret image and pass phrase that you
selected will display. This lets you identify and make sure that you
are accessing the Bank’s website, not any spoofed, illegitimate
sites.
Stay tuned. You will be prompted to enroll your computer, select the
security questions, secret image and pass phrase next time when we
roll out MFA within the next several weeks.
In the meantime, if you have any questions about MFA or the Bank’s
on-line banking service, please contact us at 626-820-1234.
